Blue, Red, Orange and Green Nails

Nai-Nai brought makeup and nail polish to Eva today.
Eva decided that she wanted to put on her own nail polish - she actually did a great job.  She did her fingernails orange and green, and her toenails red and blue. Check out the picture of her painting her toenails - can you believe how limber she is just 5 days after her surgery??  She has her feet up on the rolling table next to the bed!

I'm hoping that we will be out tomorrow - as long as her chest x-ray shows no major pockets of fluid, we should be able to go home!

She's looking forward to a visit tomorrow from her friends Taylor, Mikaela, Chloe and Mia.  All four girls are from China, and Chloe and Mia have both had heart surgery, so she wants to compare scars.  I'll post pictures of their visit tomorrow night.

  7. I think Eva can give yoga lessons when she comes home - she's as limber as a noodle, and talented with painting her nails! I just got this incredible blog about Eva's adventure. I must say that is one fine wagon she uses there at the hospital. Mom Alyssa, your writing warmed my heart, especially when you shared the "There you are" comment. I know her brothers love her dearly. It is endearing to see. What a special family you have. Much love and much more admiration - Brave Eva and Braver FAMILY 'cause this must have been so hard on all of you. We can joke with Eva and tell her she slept through most of it while you all worried every second. Phew, I feel very brave myself for worrying so hard. Home. It's good to be home. Welcome home, dear Eva.

PS Eno was impressed that you had a chest tube. He had one too but he thinks you are by far the braver one.
