One quick picture from yesterday that I just love...
Today was our first full day at home, and as Daddy had meetings today, Eva and I were alone most of the day. Christopher works at home, so it's somewhat unusual for him to be gone.
We slept until after 9:00 - with no nurses or x-ray techs or phlebotomists coming in to disturb our sleep - so nice!!
This morning she helped me make eggs - she cracked and poured, and I cooked. We ate together and talked about her time in the hospital - she said that she didn't want to leave yesterday because everyone was so nice to her. I think that she thrived on all the attention.
After breakfast we played with Lily, her American Girl doll. Lily has curly - very curly - red hair, and keeping it under control is a daily challenge we have. Today I finally convinced her to let me give Lily ponytails. She dressed her in a matching outfit, and we went for a walk around the house in her stroller.
After playing with Lily, I installed Eva in my bed with her laptop so that I could take a shower. She doesn't like to be alone in the house - she even follows me into the laundry room. She played on the American Girl website, and watched videos of Selena Gomez while I showered. She looks so comfortable in this picture - the photos taped to her laptop are of her "orphanage sister," Elise, who was adopted at the same time as Eva was.
We had a quiet day together - exactly what the doctor ordered.
